Smardt AIR Continues Momentum Toward Market Readiness

Montreal, Quebec – June 4, 2026Smardt, the global leader in high-efficiency, oil-free chiller technology, continues to build momentum behind Smardt AIR, its dedicated air-side business focused on advanced indoor air quality (IAQ) and energy-efficient air handling solutions for the North American market.

Following the launch of Smardt AIR earlier this year, the business has made significant progress toward full commercial rollout. The Phoenix, Arizona manufacturing facility remains on schedule, with production readiness activities underway and order acceptance targeted for mid-Q3 2026. Staffing, equipment installation, and operational training are progressing to support a smooth transition into production.

Advancing toward market readiness

Purpose-built to support both custom and semi-custom commercial air handling solutions, the Phoenix facility represents a significant expansion of Smardt’s North American manufacturing footprint and reinforces the company’s commitment to locally engineered and manufactured HVAC solutions.

As part of its market expansion strategy, Smardt AIR is also preparing to launch a new digital configurator platform designed to streamline product selection, improve engineering accuracy, and accelerate quotation and submittal workflows for both internal teams and external partners.

Expanding beyond equipment

At the same time, the company continues to strengthen its representative network across North America, focusing on application-driven partners serving mission-critical and commercial markets. Smardt AIR is being positioned as more than a conventional equipment provider, with solutions that incorporate advanced energy recovery technologies, high-performance filtration, and intelligent ventilation strategies aligned with evolving IAQ and sustainability requirements.

This includes support for performance-based ventilation approaches aligned with the Indoor Air Quality Procedure (IAQP) under ASHRAE Standard 62.1, enabling optimized ventilation effectiveness, energy efficiency, and occupant comfort.

Engineered for seamless retrofits

Recognizing the physical constraints of existing building infrastructure, Smardt AIR also offers specialized retrofit capabilities for its Air Handling Units. The units can be manufactured in modular sections and easily broken down to navigate tight mechanical spaces, providing a flexible, high-performance solution for complex renovation and replacement applications.

Meet us at BOMA 2026

Together with Smardt’s industry-leading oil-free chillers and integrated controls capabilities, Smardt AIR supports a unified cooling and air-handling ecosystem designed to improve overall facility performance while reducing energy consumption and simplifying system integration.

Industry professionals attending the BOMA International Conference & Expo, June 27–30 in Long Beach, are invited to visit Smardt at Booth 825 to learn more about the latest developments within Smardt AIR and the company’s expanding portfolio of sustainable HVAC solutions.

Extend Compressor Life and Maximize Asset Performance with Smardt ReGen Labs™

Extend Compressor Life and Maximize Asset Performance with Smardt ReGen Labs™

Montreal, Quebec – June 4, 2026 – At BOMA this year, Smardt is highlighting the growing capabilities of ReGen Labs™, its global compressor repair and remanufacturing platform focused on extending asset life, improving uptime, and helping customers maximize the value of their oil-free compressor investments.

Backed by more than 100 combined years of engineering and repair expertise — including members of the original Turbocor development team — ReGen Labs provides OEM-quality repair and remanufacturing services for Danfoss Turbocor® TGS and TTS oil-free magnetic bearing compressors through facilities located in Montreal, Singapore, and Melbourne.

ReGen Labs gives Smardt’s global installed base a single point of access for rapid diagnostics, expert repair, and remanufactured compressor programs – helping customers lower total cost of ownership.

“ReGen Labs brings consistency and technical depth to every compressor repair, wherever our customers operate,” said Gustavo Paredes, SVP Americas & Global Services at Smardt. “By standardizing our processes under one brand, we’re delivering faster turnaround, higher quality, and the confidence that comes from working with engineers who helped design these compressors in the first place.”

What ReGen Labs Delivers

Every compressor that enters a ReGen Labs facility undergoes a rigorous, repeatable process: Failure Mode and Effects (FMEA) log analysis, complete mechanical disassembly, thorough inspection, and electronic upgrades where required. Each unit is then validated through live open-air testing to confirm performance and reliability before return to service.

All repairs use genuine OEM parts and follow engineering processes designed for long-term reliability in mission-critical applications.

Customers can choose from two service paths: a Core Credit Program for immediate replacement with a remanufactured compressor to minimize downtime, or a full repair service for complete restoration of their original equipment.

Built to Rebuild

By prioritizing rebuilding over replacement, ReGen Labs helps customers maximize asset value while reducing waste and supporting sustainability goals. It’s a rebuild-first approach backed by the engineering depth to do it right.

About ReGen Labs

ReGen Labs is part of Smardt’s commitment to extending the lifecycle of the systems its customers depend on, reducing environmental impact while maintaining the performance and reliability that critical facilities require.
