Smardt Displays V-Class Large-Capacity Water-Cooled Chiller at China Refrigeration Expo

Smardt enjoyed great success at this year’s China Refrigeration Expo in Beijing!

For this event, Smardt displayed our oil-free V-Class Large-Capacity Water-Cooled Chiller.

In addition to their oil-free operation benefits, Smardt’s V-Class chillers are customizable in many configurations. This particular chiller exemplified  Smardt’s Pony Express V-Class, which eliminates the need to have an additional low-load “pony chiller” for reduced-load situations such as nighttime or weekends. It is configured to extend the chiller’s capabilities at full or part load. This is achieved by utilizing a combination of multiple Turbocor VTT or VTX compressors running parallel with a single, smaller TTS compressor. This Pony Express compressor mix efficiently handles all types of loads.

In the ever-evolving landscape of our industry, the Business Optimization Global Strategy and Planning (BOSP) department is at the forefront of driving Smardt transformation across our operations and offerings.

Our efforts span a vast array of strategic domains, each critical to our sustained growth and operational excellence. This internal newsletter aims to highlight key initiatives and successes within our team, focusing on three significant areas. Sales Operations, PSST, and Smardt Portal, all of which will be detailed in our subsequent communication.

Strategic Account Process Innovation

Under the dynamic leadership of Javier Polidura, DC Global Ops Lead, with the invaluable support of Diego Ballestero, DC Global Process Manager, our team has taken significant strides in refining the Strategic Account Process. This initiative is pivotal in enhancing our engagement with key accounts, ensuring we deliver tailored, high-impact solutions that resonate with our clients’ evolving needs. This process focuses on a holistic understanding of client objectives, aligning our resources and capabilities to deliver unparalleled value. The next phase of this process will involve automating the Strategic Account Process. Automation aims to solidify our approach, ensuring consistency, efficiency, and scalability, thereby reinforcing our commitment to operational excellence and customer satisfaction.

Enhancing Capabilities through Septor Training and Tools

Our PMO, Michael Hoadley, has been instrumental in advancing our internal capabilities through comprehensive Septor training across the organization. This initiative has not only bolstered our team’s competencies but has also laid the groundwork for a more cohesive and informed workforce. In addition to training, Michael is spearheading the development of video content designed to streamline the onboarding of new employees, ensuring they are well-equipped to contribute effectively from the outset.

 

Furthermore, Michael’s efforts in dashboarding on Septor have been transformative, granting us real-time access to critical data. This initiative allows for a more insightful and fact-based monitoring of our business, enabling informed decision-making and strategic alignment. With Michael’s leadership, we look forward to more initiatives, including workflow automation, which will further enhance our operational agility and efficiency.

 

Product Management Milestones

Our Director of Product Management, Madhura Dev, has helped guide the Product Development team to significant milestones since joining Smardt in November 2023. 

 

Her current focus is to ensure alignment within different departments for timely launches of our new products. This achievement is a testament to our team’s innovation, hard work, and dedication to excellence. Madhura’s strategic oversight ensured the integration of comprehensive market data and a robust sales plan for the next five years, positioning us for sustained success and growth in the marketplace.

 

These highlights reflect just a fraction of the incredible work being done across BOSP. Our collective efforts are driving not only the transformation of our business but also setting new standards in the industry. Smardt Celebrates 100th Model AE150 T-Class Chiller for NTT Facilities!

Smardt’s Melbourne, Australia team celebrated a significant milestone: the production of Smardt’s 100th model AE150 T-Class air-cooled chiller for our valued partner, NTT Facilities! 

Smardt team members in our Australian manufacturing facility observed the occasion through the rich cultural tradition of the Japanese ceremony, kagami biraki. The event was attended by Smardt employees and special guests from many different countries.

This achievement is a testament to the power of partnership and teamwork. Together, we will make progress and achieve success. Here’s to growth and reaching new heights together!
